Job Summary:
• The Account Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial transactions of the organization. • This includes preparing and maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. • The role supports the finance team in achieving accurate... and timely financial reporting and plays a key part in ensuring the company’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Management:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements. • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity.
Financial Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy. • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial records.
Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions. • Ensure all financial reports are accurate and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Tax and Compliance:
• Assist with tax filings, ensuring that all tax returns are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and internal financial policies.
Audit Support:
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information. • Implement and follow-up on audit recommendations for improving financial controls.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain and organize financial documents and records for easy retrieval and reference. • Ensure that all financial documentation is stored securely and in compliance with company policies.
Other Duties:
• Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation and financial planning. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy. • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • years of experience in accounting or finance. • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ).
