Basic Requirements

Suitable candidates must:


Be in possession of a first degree or Diploma from an accredited institution. The candidate must have graduated and in possession of the certificate.
Be an unemployed Kenyan youth aged between 20 and 34 years;
Have graduated within the last four (4) years from the closing date of this internship advertisement;
Provide a recommendation /... reference letter from the institution they graduated from.
NOT have undertaken any other internship programme or been exposed to work experience since graduation;
Be available for the entire internship duration (1 year).

Implement information security and privacy policies, standards and procedures to protect the Fund from internal and external threats
Review and assess information security risks within new and existing systems, processes, policies and procedures and recommend relevant controls.
Conduct continuous vulnerability assessments and regular penetration tests on the Fund’s systems.
Work with all... key process and system owners to ensure security and data privacy controls are considered at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives.
Administer information security monitoring systems for incident detection, response, risk mitigation and threat management.
Implement identity management and access control strategies, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Create, revoke and manage identities/access for personnel, service accounts, applications, devices etc.
Control and monitor access to the Fund’s information assets to identify unauthorized access and potential malicious activities.
Conduct regular user access reviews in collaboration with system, process and data owners. Conduct regular audit log reviews and report any unusual or suspicious activities.
Work with system and process owners to develop, implement and maintain access control lists and matrices.
Establish, administer, and monitor privileged user accounts in accordance with a role-based access scheme.
Support the Data Protection Officer in conducting data privacy impact assessments.
Ensure that the IT infrastructure and systems are configured with appropriate technical controls to safeguard them against malicious attacks.
Monitor compliance with information security policies, guidelines and standards and applicable laws and regulations.

Develop, maintain and execute regular ESG reporting, both internal and external, including the production of an annual Sustainability Report, and other reporting products as needed.
This role will work with ESG Officer(s) and Fund departments to prepare key information relevant to the reporting cycle, ensuring compliance with the Funds’ objectives and core business.
Development, maintenance... and execution of appropriate disclosure controls and procedures related to Sustainability; inclusion of key ESG disclosures in regulatory filings.
Manage the materiality assessment process and write Board reports, make recommendations to the Board, and produce management reports.
Annually Identify key material topics of the Fund, assess and report on their individual impact.
Keeping processes, procedures, and evidence up to date, assessing and reporting performance, risk and issue management, ensuring the accuracy of information, and complying with regulatory standards and disclosures are all vital to the position.
Act as a point of contact and develop good relationships with the stakeholders which assist in the development and delivery of ESG objectives and projects.
Propose, track and measure key ESG metrics.
Develop and maintain an ESG budget. Inclusive of being accountable for the funds related to Sustainability/ESG activities, having responsibility for accurate financial and detailed monitoring and reporting on utilization.
Work collaboratively with all departments and stakeholders to develop ESG initiatives and implementation strategies.
Directly participate in ESG development across the Fund through engaging in the deployment and implementation of key cross-departmental initiatives.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to drive ESG brand awareness for the Fund.
Convene internal Sustainability conversations to drive corporate strategy; produce recommendations on action, policy or behaviour change; work with internal stakeholders to enact these recommendations and develop a cohesive narrative around them.
Ensure that the accounting procedures are followed and provide recommendations to improve the finance processes.

Customer Channels Service Monitoring: Oversee service channels, such as the NSSFGo app and web portal, to promptly identify and address issues affecting external customers, including OTP and performance problems.
Application Services... Monitoring: Monitor all critical application services across the organization, identifying warning and critical alerts, and escalate them to specialized teams for timely resolution.
Access Management: Manage user access to core applications (e.g., PAS, CRM, JDE, Smartlife), including assignment and revocation of permissions, in line with the approved access procedures to ensure security and compliance.
Asset Management: Oversee the issuance, auditing, and return of electronic assets. Manage hardware loan requests and ensure all assets are properly tracked and accounted for, minimizing losses and ensuring availability.
Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing initial diagnosis and resolution. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialists, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Ticket Management: Manage and prioritize incoming support requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate updates on the status of each issue until resolution.
Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting for common IT issues, including software issues, password resets, printer issues, and connectivity problems. Escalate unresolved issues to second or third-line support as needed.
Customer Support & Engagement: Serve as a relationship manager for designated branches, ensuring prompt follow-up on long-standing issues. Collaborate with IT champions within the branches to foster a proactive and customer-centric support environment
