Responsible for the overall control of the shift. Monitor the activities of the sections at the airport and coordinating with other sections. Ensure punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways... operations.


Accountabilities


Responsible for the day-to-day operations and acts as liaison between airport service providers, and users.
Provides input and recommendations to management to improve the effectiveness of the daily operations.
Responsible in ensuring passenger and aircraft handling practices confirm to the safety and security.
Manage and control manpower on the shift in order to optimize utilization and to maintain staff’s morale and discipline.
Conducts spot-checks on to ensure adequate standards are maintained.
Responsible to resolve customer problems and complaints effectively liaising on a daily basis with all departments including Customer Relations to provide resolution for complaint handling.
Conduct briefing sessions for shift and GHA supervisors on a shift basis.
Compiling a detailed station handling report for Airport Services Manager on a shift basis.
Manage the utilization of petty case expenses and keep a track of petty case expenditure in line with standard financial procedures. Monthly reports, FFP enrolments, LPC checks.
Petty Cash Custodianship, delegating duties of subordinates, monthly statistics.
Responsible to prepare monthly reports and LPC’s.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Perform the Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duty as assigned by the ASM to ensure safe operation of QR ground ramp product.
Operate aircraft cabin service doors from the outside where applicable to facilitate and reduce the associated safety risk of inadvertent slide deployment

Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree
Has 4 years relevant experience
Experience in an airline or a reputed GHA on a supervisory level.
Excellent English language communication knowledge.
Weight and Balance, Ramp handling, Dangerous Goods Regulation knowledge.
Must be able to perform duties under pressure while maintaining the highest levels of the customer service standards adhering to tight deadlines.
Flexibility to take up duty travel to out stations for covering various assignments.
High level computer literacy.
Good understanding of Qatar Airways Conditions of Carriage, International Civil Aviation Safety and Security procedures in accordance with ICAO and IATA and local authorities.

Effectively lead ‘best in class’ and highly engaged sales teams within multiple online territories to exceed commercial targets from a portfolio of existing accounts and new business.... Develop and rationalise the allocation of resources, skills and activities in the multiple territories to drive profitable revenue / reduce cost of sale from priority sales channels.


Specific accountabilities include:


Responsible for the strategic direction of the sales teams in the assigned territories by defining the optimal way to increase sales through commercial actions and partnerships.
Structure and implement sales plans to optimise QR’s revenue and presence in the market for key/strategic/national accounts, in close collaboration with head office and regional stakeholders.
Improve focus and alignment of key distribution channels in the assigned territories with QR distribution strategy.
Formulate and implement B2B strategies with the sales team to maximise revenue from existing accounts and drive revenue streams from new business.
Collaborate with stakeholders in head office and region to develop short/medium term local sales incentives strategy for the assigned territories.
Recommend the B2B sales strategy for assigned territories. Accountable for negotiating B2B agreements within assigned territories (including PLBs, JMFs, commissions, corporate contracts).
Responsible for delivering targets and KPI for the sales team in the assigned territories.
Manage allocated expenditure budgets of the assigned territories to ensure maximum return of investment for every expense.
Provide input to Digital and Marketing team to maximize QR exposure and brand presence in assigned territories.
Maintain high level relationships with key industry bodies, diplomatic missions, governments, airports within the assigned territories.
Review management information/network data with team to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities.
Responsible for implementation and adherence to groups policies and procedures that are developed in consultation with head office.
Act as the primary legal representative in assigned territories.
Act as the Customer Champion in the assigned territories, through sales activity and influence of customer service to deliver best customer experience in the station. Maximise sales opportunities through value added [hotels/ car hire], partners.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Duties And Responsibilities

Making and confirming reservations for passengers, selling tickets for the airlines.
Serve customers professionally through telephone or in person in order to achieve customer satisfaction, generate revenue, and take all... possible measures to avoid loss of revenue.
Assist passengers requiring special assistance to board or depart.
Ensure that the sales report is closed on time.
Initiate and promote QR product to generate the revenue.
Record and process reservations made by phone/fax/e-mail; actions telex messages and authorities.
Handle Help desk – assist travel agents with seat confirmations, upgrade/downgrade proposals.
Issuance of MCO’s and refunds; process lost tickets and time barred tickets.
Examine passenger ticket to direct/advise passenger correctly.
Plan route and compute ticket cost, using schedules, rate books, and computer.
Determines whether space is available on travel dates requested by customer.
Telephone customer or Travel Agent to advise of changes with travel conveyance or to confirm reservation, as well as alternate available options.
Sell and assemble tickets for transmittal or mailing to customers.
Answer inquires made by travel agencies or transportation firms, such as airlines, bus companies, railroad companies, and steamship line

Qualifications

Relevant College or University qualification
8 Years of job related experience. 
Experience in selling of airline, hotel, cruise or car products, together with good knowledge of the geographic areas within the scope of coverage
Budgetary and planning experience.
Strong sales ability and commercial acumen
PC literate with knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Excel.

Job Role
Provides quality service to passenger in respect to check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, airport hotel and baggage services as per company’s commercial and safety standards and procedures ensuring passenger and their baggage are handled in a consistent and efficient manner. Ensure Premium Passengers receive total quality service and staffs adhere to safety policy and security... standards of the company.
Accountabilities

Acts as the first contact between the Airline and its customers as well as all stake holders and agents who may need assistance with questions, portray QR image to the highest standards.
Ensure that airport operation meets QR’s standards; policies and procedures satisfy local and international safety and security standards and conform to aviation regulatory requirements.
Ensure all areas of operations, i.e. flight OPS (OTP), WBL, aircraft loading, baggage handling, departure, arrival, cargo handling run smoothly and efficiently.
Monitors all Gate and Check in activities ensuring the accurate, service oriented acceptance and boarding of passengers.
Ensure smooth handling of Customer service at the station.
Liaises with ramp and GHA staff and support Airport Services Supervisors in all areas.
Perform the Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duty as assigned by the ASM to ensure safe operation of QR ground ramp product.
Operate aircraft cabin service doors from the outside where applicable to facilitate and reduce the associated safety risk of inadvertent slide deployment.
Escorting and directing Arriving/Departing passengers to the respective areas such as Hotel Desk, Visa Counter, Transfer Desk, Premium Lounges, and Boarding Gates.
Assists Duty Officer to handle company material and records.
Brief GHA on new procedures and ensure that they are implemented accurately and fully.
Ensure required pre and post flight administration in conducted timely, record accurately all flight activities.
Handle administrative issues related to monthly/quarterly reports. Ensure requests on operational service failure matters are responded to immediately with a high degree of accuracy and correctness.
Work with GHA and ensure all training records of their dedicated/assigned staff to QR are up to date.
Assist Passengers in regard to Entry Requirements, Visas, and Residence Permits. Carry out general profiling of passengers on need basis.
Carry out any verification as and when required to protect revenue and image of company by referring to relevant policy and procedure.
Ensure utmost priority is given to all security and safety related norms laid down by company, local authorities and relevant procedure is implemented/executed through GHA staff.
Ensure passengers are assisted smoothly through airport facilities.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification
Courses in Passenger Handling and Customer Services such as introduction to Civil Aviation and Passenger Handling.
3 years relevant experience
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to effectively manage mishandled baggage services, including service recovery situations with customers.
