JOB DUTIES


Devises and adapts technical procedures and modifies equipment, as needed. Keeps informed of new analytical or manufacturing... methods.
Receive urine, collect blood or other samples for experimentation and analysis.
Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
Record all data and results in specified forms paper and electronic with accuracy and responsibility. Manage and operate laboratory equipment.
Test and study blood, urine and other body fluids.
Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards


Administrative Duties:


Act as the front-line customer service support for incoming and outgoing calls from customers, clients, potential clients, and doctors/centers for lab results.
Participate / support all company\\\\\\\'s marketing and branding campaigns.
Coordinate courier services and maintain professional and courteous behavior to ensure customer satisfaction.
Provide other registration/clerical and billing support as required.
Ensure proper housekeeping.
Perform all duties and responsibilities with understanding and respect for the patient’s rights and strict confidentiality.
Perform other related duties as required.
 


Requirements / Qualifications


At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Required: registered with the Medical Laboratory Technician council of Nigeria
Time management and organizational skills
Record keeping skills
Ability to keep information confidential
Good listening and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Patience, adaptability, dependability
 Knowledge of Molecular tests
Knowledge of the use and operation of laboratory equipment such as microscopes etc.
In depth knowledge of QHSE Systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
Performs routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, and inventories and orders required supplies.
Assists in the training of new laboratory personnel.
Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.
Performs related work as assigned.
Excellent computer skills
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks promptly.
Proficient use of clinical laboratory information systems


EDUCATION:


B.Sc./HND in Medical Laboratory Technology


EXPERIENCE:


At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Duties include and Responsibilities:
The Role of the Sonographer (also known as sonologist) is to prepare patients for appointments, perform ultrasounds, review the images they produce, known as sonograms, discuss with the medical director, and occasionally maintain the machines in use. These include, but are not limited to:

Choosing the appropriate settings and adjusting the positions of the patients accordingly.
Monitoring and caring for patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Preliminary findings are used to select and examine images, look for differences between healthy and pathological areas, and determine if the scope of the exam should be expanded.
Completing necessary documentation and keeping patients’ histories and medical records.
Assisting doctors and medical teams during invasive procedures.
Sonographic equipment maintenance and cleaning
Determines appropriate equipment to use and selects appropriate equipment settings to provide medical practitioners with diagnostic information
Calculates procedure details such as exposure length and intensity, as well as recording equipment settings.
Determines whether images are suitable for diagnostic purposes and chooses images to show medical practitioners
Using sonographic equipment, identify and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology.
Maintain sonography equipment properly and report equipment failures.
Reports should be written based on the scan results and completion.
