Key tasks and responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the transport drivers and assitant drivers and set schedules.
Improving operational system, processes and best practices.
Ensure all operations are carried out in a cost effective way.
Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Ensure all transport deliveries and pick-ups are completed in a timely manner... and that the department operates efficiently.
Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
Calculation of destinations, duration, time and diesel needs.
Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned

Competency & Technical skill requirements

Bachelors degree in Transport Management/logistics, supply chain, or relevant field. or a degree in a similar field.
In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Logistics Manager.
Basic Math skill
Conversant with Microsoft packages
Must possess an excellent work ethic and be able to work with little or no supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
