About the C4-2 Project

Child care is a vital support for parents and caregivers – it allows them to pursue employment, education, and stable housing while knowing their children are cared for in a developmentally appropriate setting. For families that have received child care assistance through New York City government, it is crucial to maintain their eligibility so there are no disruptions to their child(ren)’s care through the city’s recertification process. That’s why WHEDco is partnering with New York City government to support families with the recertification application so they can continue receiving child care assistance. With this 18-month project, WHEDco will conduct outreach to families with upcoming recertifications, help families complete the recertification application, and ensure continuity of care for thousands of families.
