The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the visibility, reputation, and growth of St Andrew’s School, Turi. This includes driving brand awareness, increasing admissions, supporting retention, and strengthening the School’s positioning as a top international institution in Africa.

The role reports to the Director of... Admissions & Marketing and works closely with the School’s leadership team, including the Director, Heads of School, and Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Research


Develop and implement the annual Marketing Strategy aligned with the School’s objectives.
Oversee regular market research, including:

Market trends and conditions
Competitor analysis
Parent and student satisfaction
Exploration of new markets


Provide insights and data to support strategic decisions across departments.


Admissions Support


Collaborate with the Admissions team to support student recruitment.
Provide marketing materials and tools to enhance conversion rates.
Promote admissions events and international promotional tours.


Offline Marketing


Manage the creation of printed marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, prospectuses).
Liaise with staff to gather content and oversee photography and videography.
Write or commission compelling and accurate copy.
Manage relationships with external agencies and creatives.


Online Marketing & Website


Oversee the School’s website, ensuring accuracy, fresh content, and user-friendliness.
Supervise the Digital Marketing Executive in planning and executing social media and digital campaigns.
Monitor web and social analytics, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Stay up to date with digital trends and incorporate new ideas where relevant.


Brand Management


Ensure consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.
Educate internal stakeholders on brand guidelines and values.
Develop initiatives to grow long-term brand equity.


Public Relations


Work with the Director of Admissions to maintain a positive public profile for the School.
Liaise with media and PR agencies to secure appropriate coverage.

The Role

St Andrew’s Prep School is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Matron who will assist the House Parents in ensuring the welfare of the pupils within the Boarding House, while acting as a role model to pupils within the School.

Reporting to the House Parent in the respective Boarding House, the Pastoral Matron will be expected to take care of pupils, with particular responsibility for... their health and their mental and emotional well-being. They will also be responsible for the supervision of pupil organisation within the dorm. Academic Structures


The Prep School is structured along academic lines.  The pupils move from EYFS/Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2, and finally into Key Stage 3.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background: A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications: A recognised and current swimming coaching certification, such as World Aquatics (WA), American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), or Kenya Swimming Teachers and Coaches Association (KSTCA) Level 3 or higher. Additionally, certifications in First Aid and Lifeguard training from a nationally recognised body are essential.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience coaching swimming at the secondary school level or equivalent. Experience in competitive swimming at a national or international level is highly desirable. The candidate should also have experience in organising and running swimming meets using software such as Meet Manager, as well as developing and implementing water safety promotion programmes.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in swimming techniques, training methods, and long-term athlete development. Familiarity with the British and/or American curriculum, and the ability to tailor coaching to various skill levels.
Event Management: Proven ability to organise and manage swimming meets, including all logistical aspects, using software such as Meet Manager. This includes coordinating with officials, ensuring accurate timing and results, and managing participant registrations.
Aquatic Facility Management: Strong understanding of aquatic facility operations, including pool maintenance, safety protocols, and scheduling. The ability to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the SS pool, ensuring it meets all regulatory and safety standards.
Aquatic Sports Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of other aquatic sports, particularly water polo, with the ability to coach and develop programmes for these sports as part of the broader swimming and aquatic activities.

The Role
St Andrew’s Prep School is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Academic (DHA) who will provide strategic direction and leadership of the academic provision in the Prep School.  Reporting to the Head, the DHA is responsible for the successful organisation, administration and development of the academic life of the Prep School and will collaborate closely with the Deputy Head Academic of the... Senior School. He/ she will also liaise with the Director of Admissions & Marketing in relation to student admissions and progression.
The role has a significant strategic element to it and the appointee will be expected to play a leading part in shaping the future of the School’s academic provision as we strive to provide a world-class education. In particular, the appointee will be involved in continuing to shape our Key Stage 3 curriculum; establishing and driving our digital learning platforms; and leading the academic parts of the School to ensure outstanding academic outcomes. The School comprises two semi-autonomous Schools: the Preparatory school for pupils between of ages of 3 – 13 and the Senior School for pupils between the ages of 13-18. The School Laundry Supervisor is a whole school appointment and is responsible to the Facility Manager in the Facility/Operations Department. S/he will work closely with the Laundry team in Controls and oversees all laundry... operators, laundry supplies and materials to ensure maximum efficiency in performance in the Laundry Department.
Main Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, sorting, washing, and ironing clothes or linen in laundry;
Ensure daily work target is achieved;
Determines sequence of work scheduled to provide quick and efficient service to students and to regulate workloads;
Ensuring that all personnel who are in your area have the proper Personal Protective Equipment and work equipment. Where this has not been satisfied, notify the Facility Manager/HR department for immediate action;
Ensures safe work practices by directing staff to wear protective equipment, conducting accident investigations, instructing in the proper use of tools.
Monitoring attendance, ensuring that all personnel in the Laundry section report on time and adhere to working hours and that sufficient laundry personnel are on duty at any given day;
Makes rounds and inspections to assure that laundry personnel are performing required duties, appropriate laundry procedures are being rendered, and quality control measures are continually maintained;
Planning and co-coordinating all types of leave in a way that laundry operations are not affected;
Develop new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
Inspects finished laundered items to ensure conformance to standards;
Observes operation of machines and equipment to detect possible malfunctions. To report any mechanical problems to Facility Manager immediately;
Investigates and resolves students/matron complaint of unsatisfactory work or bundle shortage;
Ensure that there is enough amount of cleaning detergents at all time;
Be continually alert for the safety of all team members and reporting any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the immediate Facility Manager.
Maintain equipment clean and in good working order;
To maintain a high level of discipline in your labor force. All disciplinary issues should be solved immediately by being reported to the supervisor without delay.
