Requirement for appointment 

This will be the entry and training grade for Assistant Agricultural Officers’ cadre. An officer at this level will be deployed in a Division or in an Agricultural Training Centre. Duties and responsibilities will involve training and advising 

farmers on matters related to Crop Production, Land Development, planning and management of... demonstration plots. 
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education [KCSE] mean grade C or its equivalent; and 
A diploma in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture and Home Economics, Agricultural Education, Horticulture or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized qualification.

Duties and responsibilities

The Assistant Agricultural Officer III - shall perform the following duties:

Organizing and coordinating agricultural activities
Liaise with stakeholders in implementing projects and programmes.
Identify farmers training needs 
Collection and dissemination of agricultural information 
Organize field days, demonstrations and tours
Mainstreaming of cross cutting issues 
Participate in the agricultural shows
Implementation of Performance contract
Implement work plans.
Prepare field reports.
Any other duties which might be assigned by the County Chief Officer – Agriculture

Bachelors of Sciences [BSc.] degree in any of the following fields: Food Science, 

Home Economics, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education, or any other relevant and equivalent... qualification from a recognized institution. 
Duties and responsibilities

The Agriculture Officer shall perform the following duties:
Coordinate all Agricultural Extension services.
Organizing and coordinating agricultural activities
Liaise with stakeholders in implementing projects and programmes.
Identify staff and farmer training needs 
Collection and dissemination of agricultural information 
Promote consultative fora with various stakeholders and collaborators 
Organize field days, demonstrations and tours
Oversee the mainstreaming of cross cutting issues 
Participate in the agricultural shows
Implementation of Performance contract
Participate in preparation of work plans and budgets.
Prepare field reports
Any other duties which might be assigned by the County Chief Officer – Agriculture

Duties and responsibilities 

Coordinating the formulation of disaster management policies, strategies, guidelines standards, statutes and institutional framework;
Initiating and coordinating research in disaster management and dissemination of findings to the stakeholders in the county;
Providing advice on the development of operational standards and guidelines in... disaster risk reduction and preparedness; overseeing the management and distribution of relief food, nonfood items and acting on tax exemption applications for disaster response goods and services; coordinating psychosocial support, conflict resolution and peace building;
Spearheading resettlement, construction and rehabilitation of destroyed homes and social amenities; initiating and overseeing the provision of non-food items and startup capital;
Coordinating resource mobilization for relief and recovery, relief operations, disaster recovery and rehabilitation programmes; overseeing disaster early recovery operations for response, relief and recovery;
Monitoring, evaluating and approving reports on all disaster occurrences; facilitating training, advocacy and education in disaster management; overseeing the development of sustainable solutions and recovery programmes for IDPs; 
Coordinating the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan;
Ensuring the development and review of departmental annual work plans and budgets; managing departmental performance;
Ensuring compliance with principles and values of good governance, transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity;
Overseeing management of departmental assets and finances; 
Managing and developing departmental staff; and, 
Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment: 

Must be a Kenyan Citizen; 
Served in the grade of Deputy Director, Disaster Management for a minimum period of three(3) years; or its approved equivalent
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines:- Disaster Management, Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Peace Building and Conflict Management, Geography, Counselling, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science/Government, Physical Science, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Master's degree in any of the following disciplines: Disaster Management, Disaster management and Sustainable Development, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Peace Building and Conflict Management, Geography, Counselling,Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
Registration to a professional body;
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution or its equivalent;
Certificate in computer application skills.
