Role and Responsibilities

Account Management:


Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, managing relationships to ensure satisfaction and mutual success.
Develop and execute account plans to maximise the value of each partnership.
Monitor partner performance metrics and implement strategies to optimise outcomes.


Partnership Development:


Identify and... onboard new strategic partners that align with the company’s objectives and values.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify partnership opportunities and industry trends.
Collaborate with the Partnerships Marketing Manager to negotiate terms and support in the finalisation of commercial agreements.


Coordinate Co-Marketing:


Plan and execute joint marketing activities, both digital and instore or outdoor activation where relevant to promote shared goals.
Develop co-branded campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:


Work closely with marketing, operations, contact center and brand teams to align partnership initiatives and communications.
Act as a liaison to ensure both partners and the operations/ stores have the resources and support needed to achieve KPIs. 
Collaborate internally to ensure on brand, relevant, flawless execution of partnership initiatives.


Strategy & Reporting:


Contribute to the development of the overall Partnerships strategy.
Provide regular reports on partnership performance, opportunities, and risks to the Partnerships Marketing Manager, brand teams and operations teams.
Track and manage the partnership budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.


Problem Solving & Escalation Management:


Address partner queries and manage escalations effectively.
Serve as the go-to expert for all partner-related matters and franchisee support, transforming challenges into opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications and Requirements

Essential:


3-year tertiary qualification (degree or diploma) in Marketing / Business studies.
At least 4 years of work experience in account management, partnerships, marketing roles.
Strong proven communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Possess the agility and ability to meet numerous deadlines across brands simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).


Preferred:


Familiarity with Marketing tools (e.g. Magnetic).
Understanding of the restaurant franchise business model beneficial.
Understanding of loyalty rewards programmes, vouchering, couponing, and usage of wiCodes beneficial.
Experience working on e-commerce products or platforms.
Business relationship experience / comfortable presenting.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

Post Graduate Degree
Have an LLB or equivalent degree.
A LLM qualification will be advantageous.
Admission as Attorney / Advocate and subsequent experience in legal practice is advantageous.
Must have a minimum of at least 2 years (post qualification) exposure to a legal practice or in-house legal department dealing primarily with general... commercial work/drafting and vetting of a wide variety of contracts of the nature described above.
A sound knowledge of legislation impacting the above business lines.
Experience in High Court Litigation and Intellectual Property will be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role is primarily focused on law relating to franchising Drafting of commercial agreements (including franchise agreements), legal correspondence and other legal documents for every business area across the organisation, including lease agreements, and company related agreements such as procurement, services, service level agreements,
Risk Management - Providing comprehensive legal risk and compliance guidance, advice and solutions to all division of the SPUR Coporation that enables the execution of operational objectives and decisionmaking which is compliant with all external regualtions.
Providing legal support to the business of the organisation in South Africa to ensure legal compliance of such businesses.
Vetting of commercial agreements and other legal documents.
Draft master agreements for recurring business models so as to standardize key terms and streamline the contract review process.
Ensure that contracts are of a consistently high quality, practically implementable, substantially fulfils the businesses’ requirements, and are compliant with the relevant legislation.
Provide advice to all stakeholders across the company’s businesses.
Assist in negotiations with potential business partners and provide advice to management to ensure that it is aware of the legal impact of its decisions.
Ensure that the legal advice provided is of a consistently high quality, practically implementable, commercially and legally strategic, and compliant with the relevant legislation.
Attending to all legal and regulatory aspects of transactions and projects when required, including the briefing and management of external lawyers and the negotiation of the various agreements.
Providing Corporate Commercial (M & A) transactional legal support to the Head of Legal.
Advise all stakeholders in SA of potential litigation risks associated with business decisions and business practices.
Providing assistance all litigation matters in SA by assessing the company's position in disputes and proposing the best possible course of action so as to ensure that the most optimal outcome is achieved.
Provide guidance to external counsel by comprehensively briefing them, assisting in the development of a defence or action, and attending to settlement negotiations (if appropriate).
Research and provision of legal opinions
Assisting business units with advice on legislation and alignment of business processes and contracts in accordance with legislation including Franchise and other relevant Legislation - (Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act etc).
