Technical Sales Support Professional at Siemens Energy


As a part of our team, you will be you responsible for creating offers and executing of orders for service projects for transmission equipment. The activities will vary from spares parts order, maintenance projects to small substation projects. You will co-ordinate the offer preparation with internal and external suppliers and you will... be responsible for the offer to customer including price finding. You will be also responsible for order execution of the successful bids. Working environment is hybrid, to be based in Wadeville with occasional travel in South Africa and surrounding countries.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

Sales:


Develop and execute an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to meet individual targets, and plan/forecast order volumes based on customer potential and budgets.
Proactively drive sales and identify leads for Gas Services (GS) and other business areas in Southern Africa (e.g., Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Namibia).
Develop and manage long-term... relationships with clients and other stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Act as a key Siemens Energy representative in the subregion, fostering connections with customers, partnerships, and government entities.
Identify new growth areas and establish new customer segments to expand business opportunities and the Siemens Energy pipeline.

What You Bring 


Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of direct experience in the energy, oil, gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries with a strong sales background, including senior-level customer engagement and lobbying at state authorities.
Proven experience as a senior coach and team player, willing to go the extra mile for the benefit of the team.
A strategic mindset with versatility, creativity, and the ability to work in a lean, agile, and hands-on manner.
Experience in the following fields is a plus: Oil & Gas, project finance, complex infrastructure projects involving international stakeholders from the private and public sectors, value selling, and business plan calculations.
Experience developing projects in the African landscape, with a willingness to travel frequently abroad and/or relocate within the subregion.
Proficiency with Salesforce.com and the LoA quality process.
Language: Fluent in English; Portuguese is preferred.

What You Bring

University Degree in in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment (particularly steam turbines and generators) sales operation and maintenance is a plus.
Technical knowledge and understanding of different rotating equipment product lines (steam turbines, generators, centrifugal- and reciprocating compressors).
Knowledge of the application of above products at customer’s facilities.
Experience with Salesforce.com is an advantage.
Knowledge of Siemens Energy owned legacy steam turbines is an advantage.
Knowledge about Siemens Energy’s principal competitors.
