- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and similar research platforms
- Review, proofread, and edit legal documents for clarity, accuracy, and compliance
- Ensure filings comply with jurisdiction-specific court rules and formatting requirements
- Collaborate with attorneys to support litigation strategy and case development
- Manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Translate complex legal concepts into concise, persuasive written materials

Qualifications- JD degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred
- 2–4 years of legal writing, litigation support, or related experience
- Strong legal research and analytical writing skills
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal terminology
- Experience with Bluebook citation standards
- Knowledge of personal injury litigation in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington, DC preferred
- Experience with SmartAdvocate or similar case management software preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately, including awareness of AI-related confidentiality considerations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule & Compensation- Hybrid in DC or fully remote flexibility available depending on location and experience
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
- Compensation range: $35–40 per hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities and Duties

- Answers and directs incoming calls.
- Make photocopies and scan documents into legal management software.
- Draft and send correspondence to clients, including letters of representation.
- Call medical providers and obtain balances.
- Assists with maintaining Files and Database to ensure everything is documented accurately.
- Work on accounting matters such as reconciliation matters, scanning deposits, and printing checks
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments and delayed payments.
- Prepare closing statements
- Check account balances
- Process disbursements
- Assists with scheduling important dates or meetings.
- Assists with other essential functions of the department.


Qualifications and Skills

- Experience with personal injury matters in the DMV area is a plus.
- Must have an interest in personal injury litigation.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
- Must have previous office experience.
- Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well independently but more importantly as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion.
