Responsibilities:
- The ability to quickly and independently respond to client requests, identify key issues, analyze problems from scratch, and provide effective and actionable solutions.
- Supporting business units and team members with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Engaging in the preparation of written documents for key clients, aimed at identifying solutions to their inquiries and contributing to both strategic and operational success.
- Preparing analytical and business development documents.
- Contributing to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables and marketing initiatives.
- Involvement in business development activities, specifically in the preparation of written documents, proposals, and presentations.
- Managing and mapping relations with key International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and key accounts.

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic advisory, strategic marketing, corporate finance, or equity research in a strategy consultancy, Big Four (B4) firm, investment bank, or large corporation.
- A proven track record in strategy or operations development, preparing research documents, and designing written presentations.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and structuring abilities; the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- The role requires the creation of high-quality written content and presentations, ensuring exceptional standards and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the requirements, policies, and guidelines of international financial institutions and development agencies would be a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken (at least B2 level).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other word-processing software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Обов’язки:
- Здатність швидко та самостійно реагувати на запити клієнтів, визначати ключові питання, аналізувати проблеми з нуля та пропонувати ефективні та дієві рішення.
- Підтримка бізнес-підрозділів та членів команди у зборі, аналізі та інтерпретації даних.
- Участь у підготовці письмових документів для ключових клієнтів з метою пошуку рішень їхніх запитів і сприяння як стратегічному, так і операційному успіху.
- Підготовка аналітичних документів та документів з розвитку бізнесу.
- Участь в підготовці та презентації клієнтських документів та маркетингових ініціатив.
- Участь у діяльності з розвитку бізнесу, зокрема у підготовці письмових документів, пропозицій та презентацій.
- Управління та відображення відносин з ключовими міжнародними фінансовими установами та ключовими клієнтами

Вимоги:
- Мінімум 3 роки досвіду роботи у галузі стратегічного консультування, стратегічного маркетингу, корпоративних фінансів або аналізу фондового ринку та ринків капіталу у стратегічному консалтингу, компанії «Великої четвірки» (B4), інвестиційному банку або великій корпорації.
- Підтверджений досвід у розробці стратегій та операцій, підготовці документів за результатами досліджень та створенні письмових презентацій.
- Сильні аналітичні здібності, стратегічне мислення, вміння вирішувати та структурувати проблеми; здатність передбачати та мінімізувати потенційні ризики та проблеми.
- Ця роль вимагає створення високоякісного письмового контенту та презентацій, забезпечення виняткових стандартів та уваги до деталей.
- Знання вимог, політик та керівних принципів міжнародних фінансових установ та агенцій з розвитку буде перевагою.
- Вільне володіння письмовою та усною англійською мовою (не нижче рівня В2).
- Володіння Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint та іншими текстовими редакторами.
- Сильні організаторські здібності та навички тайм-менеджменту.

Key roles and responsibilities


Performing engagement management activities including engagement set up, resource planning, billing analysis, invoicing and collection.
Completing engagement and client KYC risk assessments as per KPMG guidelines.
Providing advice to clients regarding customs and excise duties.
Assisting clients in case of an audit or other investigation by the customs... authorities.
Negotiating tax rulings.
Assisting clients with the determination of the correct tariff classification of imported goods and provide input regarding the validity of the customs value.
Assisting clients with Customs administrative requirements.
Helping clients develop and implement an effective customs and trade management strategy
Building and managing client relationships
Developing and managing own client portfolio.
Being the contact person and client liaison with respect to communications with Regulators and Authorities.
Preparing reports.
Simultaneously implement multiple projects which involves client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of KPMG and client resources
Drafting opinion letters, responses to Revenue Authority inquiries, Revenue Authority ruling requests and writing other technical memoranda.
Liaising with client’s finance/accounting departments and tax advisors to gather pertinent facts for analysis of tax risks
Interacting and supporting tax discussions with cross functional teams such as Tax, IT, Audit etc.
Preparing Tax BU training presentations aimed at external and internal audiences.
Researching and consult on various tax matters to build technical competence, develop business and industry expertise.
Supervising, training and mentoring associates and interns on Customs projects
Assessing performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed.
Any other duties as may be assigned.


Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience:


Business related Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
Must have a minimum of 4 years of working experience in customs.
Professional qualifications e.g., ACCA, CPA are highly desirable.
Post Graduate Diploma/ Masters in Customs or any professional qualification in Customs from an accredited college/university will be an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access along with experience performing internet research.
Experience in customs in an accounting/ law firm, and/or corporation, will be an added advantage.
Skills, and comfort interacting with C-level professionals
Excellent advisory and compliance skills
Good knowledge of Customs tax laws, rules and regulations.
Working knowledge of accounting information systems and Tax tools.

Any professional qualification in Taxation from and accredited college/university will be an addedadvantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access along with experience performing internet research.
A minimum of seven years of tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm.
Should be able to identify prospective business opportunities.
Good knowledge and appreciation of tax legislation and regulatory environment.
Working knowledge of accounting information systems and Tax tools.
