Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)
The role holder is responsible for promoting sales and marketing of all Kenyan Alliance Insurance Health products through intermediaries and to direct clients.

Sourcing and procuring of business from brokers, independent agents and other channels in line with the set targets/budgets
Identifying business opportunities with potential and prospective agents, brokers, and organized groups, evaluating their positions and developing a sales opportunity
Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market and competitor’s activities
Preparing weekly and monthly reports giving details of individual performance on business acquired/lost / sales pipeline and feedback on market practices
Addressing client/customer inquiries and feedback within the timelines stipulated in Customer service charter and/or SLAs signed with respective clients
Premium collection in line with the Credit control policy
Drives business development goals in generating business leads and opportunities, expanding existing clients, and identifying and pursuing cross-selling opportunities.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts and major clients by making regular visits to discuss their evolving needs, assessing the quality of the company’s relationship, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
Ensure 100% compliance with Internal control procedures, and implement initiatives to ensure a fraud-free environment.

Knowledge & Experience
The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:

Bachelor degree in any business related field
5 years’ experience in Healthcare or the Corporate Medical Insurance industry
Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level presentations and present ideas persuasively to an executive-level audience.
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and work both independently and with others.
Ability to leverage research and competitive intelligence to identify business opportunities and support go-to-market strategies.
In-depth knowledge of the market and the changing environment. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and assertive with strong relational and networking skills

Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)
The role holder is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships for optimal business retention.
Main Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact between Kenyan Alliance and the clients/intermediaries for day to day policy servicing.
Coordinate and conduct Member Education for every client onboarded to Kenyan Alliance.
Coordinate and conduct Health Talks, Health camps and service meetings with clients as per the agreed SLAs.
Prepare, quarterly scheme utilization reports, share with the clients and plan in consultation with the contact persons for quarterly performance review meetings. Addressing client/customer inquiries and feedback within the timelines stipulated in Customer service charter and/or SLAs signed with respective clients.
Receive renewal documents from the underwriting team, review and share with the clients, agents and brokers. Follow up on the renewal and engage with the client in consultation with the underwriting team.
Premium collection in line with the Credit control policy.

Main Responsibilities

Sourcing for new business by identifying and exploiting new business opportunities to achieve growth of General and Healthcare Business through creation of long-term sustainable relations.
Preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating terms and closing sales
Follow-up of quoted business and ensure increased conversion rate
Cross marketing across other business lines and exploring opportunities for up-selling
Exploring opportunities to develop new markets/ segments in line with company sales strategy from time to time.
Preparing relevant periodic production reports
Building long term relationship with intermediaries by ensuring all their queries are addressed promptly and relevant technical guidance is provided Setting up meetings, preparing and delivering presentations to potential clients. Developing and maintaining good working relationships with intermediaries and existing customers Training and supporting intermediaries on the company’s products. Periodically reviews existing products and propose changes with a view to enhancing their quality Carrying out market intelligence to ensure the company is in tandem with the industry trends and adopt product pricing mechanisms that ensure profitability. Recruiting independent agents. Other duties as may be assigned.

Knowledge & Experience
The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:

Degree of Sociology or Business Studies
ACII
3yrs’ working experience in marketing Healthcare and General Business Insurance products.
In depth understanding of the General and Healthcare Insurance products and operations
Good communication and presentation skills
Strategic planning and management experience
Experience in change management and the ability to positively lead change
Experience in budgeting and Strategic financial planning
Good knowledge of the insurance business
Good leadership skills.

Design and implement the branch marketing and sales strategies geared towards business growth and retention;
Source and procure business in line with the set targets/budgets;
Develop the market through direct, agents and other intermediaries with the focus to build and maintain a strong presence in the region;
Managing the business portfolio through prudent underwriting in order to achieve the targeted business mix and loss ratio;
Managing outstanding premium as per the credit control policy;
Ensure that the branch is a profit center for the business and achieve the set profit targets;
Enforce the company’s Underwriting guidelines and ensure that business is acquired within these terms and credit limits;
Ensure renewal of existing accounts and achieve 90% business retention;
Coordinate marketing drives and marketing activities for the branch Building and strengthening business relationships with existing and prospective clients to achieve performance targets;
Prepare various scheduled and ad-hoc management reports on branch performance; Oversee the day to day administration of the branch operations, ensuring adherence to the company policies;
Complying with statutory, regulatory and internal control processes at the business units including internal and external audit recommendations;
Exploring opportunities presented by the market and developing innovative products and solutions that meet customer needs; Achieving branch service standards within set turnaround times; Training, coaching and mentoring staff/DSFs/Independent Agents in order to improve performance and cohesion;
Any other duty as may be given from time to time.

Knowledge & Experience
The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or an equivalent, ACII/AIIK
At least 6 years’ relevant experience
Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
