Position Overview


This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work around the world as part of a Field Operating Service (FOS) team, supported by technology experts from Honeywell UOP’s Technical Service Group. FOS advisors are on-site prior, during, and after the initial start-up of UOP technologies. They help to ensure that the technology and customer operators are ready for... commissioning. Advisors are also involved in the test runs that demonstrate guarantees, they provide technical insight and assist customers in resolving engineering and operating issues.
UOP advisors may remain at a site for a few days to several months before moving to the next assignment. For each start-up, advisors may work with a number of UOP-licensed processes and a variety of individuals within and outside of UOP. The experience gained from each assignment, and the subsequent interaction with other UOP employees, provide a solid background for assessing and solving problems encountered in each situation in various locations around the world. As advisors gain experience, they have opportunities to advance to positions of increased accountability within the FOS organization.
MUST be able to commit to travelling international and domestically and reside onsite for long uninterrupted periods of time (Typical assignments are four to six months but one day to one year possible).
Begin your career with 12 months in the Early Career Program where you will be exposed to a variety of functions including Research and Process Development, Process Engineering and/ or Technical Service.  You will gain experience in one or more of UOP’s key refining and petrochemical technologies with a variety of activities that may include operating pilot plants, designing, troubleshooting and/ or servicing UOP process units, and performing other challenging assignments.  
Following these 12 months of training Engineers will transfer to Field Operating Service (FOS).  In FOS they will travel full time for 3-5 years on assignments to multiple locations around the world supporting UOP customers in operating plants as a process engineer and advisor.


Key Responsibility


Completion of a 12-month training program designed to develop the skills needed to be FOS technical advisor.  This includes:
Independent learning as well as structured classroom and hands-on training
Training focused on safety and UOP technology, processes and procedures by which UOP delivers technology to our customers
On the job training and value-added work in 3-4 rotational work assignments in Operations, Engineering, Technical Service, Digital, or Business groups
Soft skills training, including cultural awareness, conflict management, and communication courses
Transfer to Field Operating Service for a duration of at least 3-5 years.  In Field Operating Service you will be on international and domestic assignments.  Some of the accountabilities are:
Following all required safety procedures and adhering to FOS, UOP and Honeywell policies
Field training
Setting and meeting customer expectations
Completing a detailed checkout of new UOP process units prior to initial start up in order to assure that the completed unit conforms to UOP specifications
Providing field technical assistance and field support for development activities in commercial units, and suggesting improvements on UOP process designs
Troubleshooting and recommending innovative solutions
Coordinating commissioning activities
Transferring technology to customers operating and engineering staff
Reviewing emergency and normal operating procedures with customer personnel
Collecting and effective analysis of unit operating data and laboratory results
Monitoring and advising on process operating conditions
Advising customer personnel on the long-term routine activities for effective operation of a UOP process unit
Advising customers on scheduling, procedures, normal operating variables and response to emergency situations and unscheduled process changes, under the guidance of the Chief Technical Advisor if available


You Must Have


BEng Chemical Engineering
Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically and reside onsite for long uninterrupted periods of time. (Typical assignments are four to six months but durations of one day to one year or more are possible.)
Flexibility to work hours that are dictated by customer requirements and assignment scope
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Strong customer focus, and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work in a physically challenging environment
Ability to fulfill the FOS traveling role (on the road) for at least three (3) years after the completed 12 months training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Ability to interact with customers on a global basis

Guide and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing Channel Sales projects and activities. You will facilitate the connection between Channel Sales Leadership, Marketing and Distributors You will review and advise on status of projects and budgets. You will assess Channel Sales issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customers satisfaction goals and objectives. You... will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for problem solving with project managers, distributors, and customers.



Key Responsibilities

Develop account plans for existing channel partners, in line with regional channel strategy, and execute the objectives quickly and clearly.
Establish long term business relationships with channel partner executives.
Work closely with the channel partner in its sales opportunities, including qualification, development of joint strategies to win, etc… but also includes joint visibility on field and engagement with the end user.
Maximize the use of our whole available products and services portfolio in each channel partners to maximize the share, generate sustainable revenue growth and a healthy margin.
Implement the regional sales programs and campaigns in the channel partner, as well as to develop and implement the necessary specific programs and initiatives for the channel partner to ensure the expected performance.
Develop new channels partners following regional strategic direction.
Train and develop channel partners in relation to our product lines and sales methodologies.
Ensure the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets and management based objectives that will be communicated from time to time.
Provide accurate and timely forecasts.
Keep the CRM system up to date with all sales related activity including (but not limited to) meeting schedules, meeting notes, contact persons, business plans, MSAS plans as appropriate, quotations, price requests, revenue forecast data,
SKU requirement data, schedule dates and sales team members. Take responsibility for the data integrity in the system.
Be able to report weekly performance to the leadership of specific opportunities. Furthermore, sales data, progress on incentives, new product releases, sales trending and all other key performance indicators should be monitored and managed on a pro-active and continual basis. At all times, understand the ‘health’ of the business being managed.
