The Advanced Photon Source is seeking an experienced network engineer. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and management of APS computer networks that provide the interface between accelerator, beamline, staff computers and computing resources at the APS, other divisions at Argonne, and outside the Laboratory.

- Provide network support to APS beamlines, business operations and accelerator staff and engineers.

- Must be able to analyze the utilization of computing and networking resources and optimize the use of existing hardware and software.

- Recommendation and acquisition of additional resources to augment overall network and system performance. This is in cooperation with other computing staff and management as necessary to enhance the APS mission.

- Enhance and improve existing cyber security tools and scripts to improve the overall security posture.
