The Division of Tri-Valley Neurology in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board-eligible or board-certified neurologist to join the Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line.

The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical... care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Responsibilities are expected to include care of general and subspecialty neurology patients, and teaching of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. Faculty will work in our hospital and clinics at Stanford Health Care TriValley (SHC-TriValley) in Pleasanton, California. While the primary focus will be on clinical duties at SHC-TriValley, opportunities for involvement at other clinical locations, including Emeryville and Palo Alto, can be explored depending on the candidate’s interests and clinical needs at these sites. Opportunities are also available to participate in research, quality improvement, and development of innovative care programs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant should have an MD or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible (ABPN), and must have or obtain a California medical license.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have fellowship training, or additional background in Comprehensive Neurology, Headache, and Memory Disorders. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching students, residents, and fellows. Candidates must also have excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with other departments and disciplines.

Clinical Assistant Professor: $241,000 - 259,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $274,000 - 292,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. The Finance & Administration Associate is responsible for supporting program execution and overall administration at the Stanford Seed East Africa office. The successful candidate will work directly with the Regional Director, F&A Manager, Program and Network Managers to support the Seed Transformation Program, Seed Transformation Network, and other priorities. The candidate should have a strong... eagerness to continuously expand knowledge in diverse business areas, policies, and procedures pertinent to administration. The Finance & Administration Associate reports to the Regional Director, Seed East Africa, in Nairobi.


CORE DUTIES


Leads recruitment administration for all program participants and staff hiring.
Captures data from recruitment activities and roadshows and follows up with links and application details/information.
Responsible for making follow up calls to program applicants with regards to submission of required materials, payments, and otherwise.
Responds to applicants’ and other electronic inquiries and routes them to appropriate individuals.
Arranges flight reservations, hotel bookings, and ground transportation for Seed staff and business coaches in East Africa.
Supports the execution of activities related to the Seed Transformation Program, Seed Spark, Seed Transformation Network, and other programs offered by Stanford Seed.
Offers general accounting and administrative assistance to the Finance and Administration Manager, including issuing invoices to program participants.
Oversee and/or process a variety of financial transactions; produce, monitor, identify, and resolve discrepancies. May assist with capital or special equipment requests and/or vendor selection.
Coordinates meetings and assists with routine conferences including scheduling rooms, managing equipment, ordering meals, and assembling materials.
Supports the Regional Director with calendar coordination and transcribes meeting minutes; and agenda items in team meetings.
These duties may be adjusted as needed to suit the business needs of the Seed East Africa Program.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience 


Four-year college degree from an accredited university, and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Business, Accounting degree, CPA or similar designation preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


An advanced level of fluent English skills both oral and written. 
Strong financial skills including thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practical experience in business fundamentals.
Demonstrated expertise with internet banking. 
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Basic tech support on Salesforce, Sage, Asana, Zoom and other applications.
Custodian of digital file repository
Minute-taking and assigning action items during Team Meetings.
Work with Program Manager on general administrative assistance and classroom support prior to Immersion Weeks.
Work with Program Manager on recruitment process for Seed East Africa.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related degree. CPA qualification isa bonus.
At least 2 years’ experience in a reputable organization in accounting, finance or operations
Comfortable and competent in working with technology. Use of Salesforce, Sage, Asana, Zoom is a plus
Works well in a team setting.
