As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and merchants onto the SafeBoda ecosystem. You’ll drive growth by pitching our services, converting leads into active users, and ensuring businesses benefit from SafeBoda’s mobility and fintech solutions.

Daily tasks include:


Prospecting and engaging new merchants and... SMEs

Closing deals and achieving sales targets
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Providing after-sales support to ensure satisfaction and retention


Qualifications


Proven track record in sales, preferably working with SMEs, merchants, or B2B clients

Key Responsibilities:


Acquire new users: Identify prospects and convert Nairobi's small businesses. merchants and individuals to download and use the app for package delivery. Help in installing and registering on the app.
Promote customer activity: By highlighting the USPs, persuade each new customer to make several delivery trips. Encourage users to increase order frequency in order to increase commission by following up on first-time users and
new customers.
Build relationships: Get in touch with small businesses (such as stores, eateries, and offices) to include our services in their daily operations.
Attend Below the Line (BTL) activations: Identify and attend field events or activations to increase app awareness, encourage app downloads, foster engagement, and draw in trips.
Analyse and improve: To track your performance statistics and identify fresh growth prospects, do basic market research. Adapt your strategy or pitch in light of feedback and outcomes.
Cooperate internally: Closely coordinate with our operations, sales, and marketing departments. Report on leads and sales every day and share customer feedback.


Qualifications & Key Competencies


Education and Experience: Preferably, you have a business, marketing, or similar diploma or bachelor's degree; prior experience in business development, marketing, sales, customer acquisition, or related roles is an added advantage.
Sales and Marketing Proficiency: Demonstrable ability to find prospects, make offers, and close sales. You approach sales with creativity, entrepreneurship, and a focus on results.
Communication: Excellent verbal and negotiating abilities. To effectively interact with customers, you must be fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
Technical: At ease using mobile apps and smartphones for communication and reporting.
Personal: Very organised and self-motivated. Capable of working autonomously and actively
pursuing leads. Should be flexible to work adaptable hours and readiness to travel throughout Nairobi.

The  Senior Operations Associate will play a vital role in supporting rider and driver recruitment, driver engagement, and ensuring the overall well-being of our driver community. This multifaceted role also involves providing customer care support to enhance the overall SafeBoda experience.

Key Responsibilities:


Rider and Driver Recruitment: Actively source, train, and onboard new riders... and drivers. Conduct orientation sessions and ensure compliance with onboarding procedures.
Driver Engagement: Foster positive relationships with drivers through regular communication and engagement initiatives, and implement strategies to boost driver satisfaction and loyalty.
Driver Quality: In liaison with the Country Manager, develop and implement fraud mitigation strategies and create and continually improve driver quality programs. Ensure the team’s full compliance with driver disciplinary procedures. 
Customer  Support: Respond promptly and professionally to driver and passenger inquiries, concerns, and feedback
Initiate proactive interactions: Take the initiative to connect with passengers and drivers through calls and surveys, aiming to enhance engagement, ensure retention, and optimize customer lifetime value.
Driver Well-being: Monitor and assess the well-being of drivers, addressing concerns related to their physical and mental health, and implement well-being programs and initiatives to enhance the overall work experience for drivers.
Operational Support: Assist in day-to-day operational tasks, including monitoring service levels, and collaborating with other teams to address operational challenges and improve overall efficiency.
Basic reporting: Prepare regular reports on driver recruitment, engagement, quality, & well-being plus customer support metrics.
Compliance: Ensure that all drivers comply with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards. and collaborate with relevant teams to address compliance issues promptly.


Qualifications and Technical Skills required
